Come to our Open Day

Join us at Woodingdean Bowls Club on Saturday, 19th April, for our Open Day and experience the enjoyment of lawn green bowls. We are hosting two sessions: 10:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 15:30. Trained instructors will be available, and all equipment is provided. Simply turn up wearing flat shoes or trainers to protect the green. Our club is located at The Pavilion, Central Park, Kipling Avenue, Woodingdean, Brighton, Sussex. We welcome individuals of all ages and experience levels. Come along, meet new people, and discover the friendly atmosphere of our club.
Welcome to Woodingdean Bowls Club
Woodingdean Bowls Club was founded in the early 1970’s, when a band of bowls enthusiasts in Woodingdean got together with the aim of forming a Woodingdean bowls club.
After approaching Brighton council parks and gardens department officials they were told that indeed a bowls pavilion and bowls green would be built in Central Park, Woodingdean and work would commence in 1972. The Woodingdean bowls club was formed in 1972 and for the next two years the members played their matches at Queens Park.
